carb issues

You dont want it still white as that would be lean, but toasty tanish to starting to go black is safe. Obviously the closer to the tan-ish the closer you are to perfect. Myself, I tend to like to run them a little on the richer side for safety sake since my riding area/locations can vary alot. Just saves me from rejetting.
 
Yea I'm gonna try to run mine a bit rich for safety sake. How long to run it before checking the plug?
 
the 'chop' thing, is that the in any gear push full throttle and cut the motor of, pull the plug andcheck it? i just rebuilt my carb and reset the main jet to factory but the lead pipe of the exhaust pipe in the dark will get red hot..
 
Thats what i was thinking bones so i turned up the main jet a little and it seems the motor does'nt run as hot now, but when using the choke it ideals funny not a usaul high rev and when i give her gas she almost spudders threw the first 1/4 of the throttle, do you think i need to turn it up more putting more fuel to it,, mine came with a K&N filter on it i heard that causes problems too..
