Ok first off I just built my 2000 warrior. It has stage 2 porting, kibblewhite 1mm over intake valves, stage two hot cam, bore 85 mm JE 10.5:1 piston. I have k&n 150 main jet and it studders at wot and so i went to dealer and got a 165 main jet and when i got it home it looks smaller than the 150 in the jet kit. Any help with what i need or if what i have will work? Thanks for your help.
Oh and a full fmf exhaust.

I know there is a lot of threads about this but I haven't found any dealing with porting. I am not sure if that would change a lot but would assume it would make a difference.

Why did you jump all the way to 165 from a 150? That's a huge jump. What is your Pilot at?

I have a friend that told me he has done a lot of 4 stroke builds and he told me that I needed to put a 165 main in it and leave the pilot alone because it ran fine up til full throttle. I have pretty much figured out he has no clue and I have a lot of money invested now to just go out and blow the thing up. He rode it and after he told me that's what I needed but I think it should have a lot more on bottom end also.

Well if you can get a few sizes up but 165 is freakin huge. I'd only buy up to a 160. The sell in 2.5 increments. How bad is the studder? If its just subtle, go to a 152.5 if its worse than that, try a 157. Is your clip set in the middle?

I will have to look and see where the clip is set tomorrow. I may just end up taking it to the dealer since I am stretched for time between school and work because I think the pilot should be changed to maybe just one size.
