I tore down my sons 98 Warrior last night to check the valves and give it a check up. On the back of the carb...airbox side. There is a black hose coming off the carb at the air inlet and going no where....:( Is that normal? I checked the manual and it shows it in the diagrams but no info as to what it is.

I am guessing it's just an over flow and needs no place to go other than down. Anyone know what this is and if it has a home other than just connected to the carb and nothing else?

Thanks! Todd

yeah dont think too hard about this one... its just the float bowl vent... i needs to go somewhere where it wont get plugged with dirt

usually they will run from the bottom of the float bowl down the left side of the case (shift lever side). if the quad still has the stock plastic chain guard on it, theres a tiny tab sticking out. tuck it behind that and you should be good

Great thanks! I gave things a quick glance and didn't see a home for the other end of the hose so I was hoping that was the case.

Are you talking about the one that's coming off the float bowl, or coming off the top of the carb? From what I understand you're talking about the top one, that just tucks up underneath the fuel tank.
