So when i ride my quad the chain is slipping really bad and just happened after the last ride? i just replaced it about 6 rides ago and it seems like it stretched a lot. I have both of my chain adjusters all the way in and its still loose.

Should i take a link out? last time i did that i made the chain to short and couldnt use it. do you think i should try to take a link out?

Are the sprockets still good? If the chain is still very loose with it adjusted all the way, then yea I would take a link out.

okay yea i might take a link out tomorrow just dont wanna ruin the whole thing haha and there is one tooth missing off the back sprocket but i have no idea how to replace sprockets so.

Well you need to replace the sprockets if theyre worn/missing teeth. That's probably why the chain is slipping.

It's simple to replace sprockets, just one big nut on the front one, and 6 or 8 small nuts holding the rear on. Simple.

Yupp, bet that chain is crap now. If you replace the chain, its best to replace the sprockets too. They all wear the same and need replaced at the same time. Why type of chain is it? O-ring, X-ring? I really hope its not a non ringed chain. Thats crap to begin with.

Also, when you tighten the chain, make sure that the chain is always loose with about 1" of slack in it to allow for movement. To tight of a chain will stretch it out prematurely.

i dunno what kind of chain it is, all i know is when i bought it the chain was for a street bike and i think theres no rings in it. haha. it saved me money when i bought it. and the chain is less than a month old should i really buy a new one =[ ?

Its for a street bike? That could be some of your problem. Every chain in different applications are made at different lengths and widths. The chain and sprockets all need to match for it all to work smoothly. If hould be fine but take a link out and consider gettin new sprockets.

well i put on the old chain and it fit just right with the chain tensioners all the way out.. seems to be fine but im going riding in about an hour and we will see. thanks everyone.. ohh and anyone around the pittsburgh area ever wanna ride hit me up!

dude your gonna break your case soon running all that junk! sell some plasma or somethign and buy new front sproket new rear sprocket and a chain thats made for a warrior...

What size sprockets are you running? That will affect how tight or loose your chain is also.

huh?? everything on the warrior is stock how am i going to break the case...? and what is all that junk refering too?

Hes talking about your rear sprocket, because its missing a tooth, the chain can jump off when it skips and break your case were the front sprocket is. Not to be an ass, u dont sound like u know alot about atvs. You should just take it to a atv shop. You will never be able to proper adjust you chain with your junk rear sprocket. All of the people on this site know more about warriors than u do. So I might be a good idea to listen to them, also go buy a repair manual. It will help u with repairs and teach almost everything u need to know.
Sorry if it seems like I am being a asshole,I'm just trying to help u like everyone else.

haha yea i dont know jack **** about atv's thats why i joined the forum to ask and learn. cant learn if you dont ask and experiment haha thanks everyone

After u take the chain off, take off the front sprocket cover. There is a big nut and a locking tab ring that hold the front sprocket on. Put the quad in gear, bend the tab flat and remove the nut.
Install new sprocket, then locking tab, then nut. Tighten nut and bend locking tab in so nut does not come loose.
For the rear remove the wheel and left rear hub, look at the rear sprocket there will be six nuts with locking tabs, bend the tabs and remove the nuts
Install new sprocket put the locking tabs on, then the nuts, thighten the nuts and bend the tabs in so the nuts dont come loose.
