hey fellas finally got around to finishing my 2002 warrior had carb issues neddle jet was froze and pilot was clogged.

Anyway for sum reason when i put bike in reverse it automatically moves without releasing the clutch, i know the clutch needs to be readjusted just not sure how.

it is a new clutch just not sure on correct way to adjust it. Thanks in advance, were supposed to get some snow and would like to take my son for a ride, thanks again

mine does that occasionally too - if you figure out why post and ill try to see if i have the same issue - got my warrior for 600$ and only did maintenance...waiting to get into the thick of it until my car is done - only front shocks to go!

Does the clutch work fine in the forward gears?
If so, then I wouldn't think it is a clutch adjustment issue.

Does it just "drag" in reverse, or does it go into full-on backup boogie?

the clutch is not working properly it is not gearcase, the clutch is engaging without the clutch being let out in forward and reverse when in forward it will stall

i don't have that problem...:/ mine only sometimes pulls back when clutched and in reverse, but it works 100% otherwise

i just took everything apart again clutch is fine andinstalledcorrectly .
what i need to know is on the inside of the cover plate the round metal thing that comes in and out to release the clutch is that supposed to be flush, recessed, or sticking out, i dont know that thing is supposed to be in order to release the clutch thanks

thought i had it lined up properly put everything back together , clutch pulles nice but as soon as i put it in reverse it is in gear without the clutch released. also tryed forward gear and it jumps and stalls, everything was working before the clutch so i know the problem is somewhere in the clutch. thanks for any help this thing is driving me f in nuts

Ensure that the hex bolts (don't remember what their called exactly) around the cllutch basket are torqued to 10lbs... Too loose, clutch won't engage, too tight, it won't disengage...

FYI I didn't have a torque wrench that went that low, so I adjusted it by trial and error... had to pull the cover a couple of times, but that was 6 years ago, been riding the hell out of it since...

There should be enough slack in the cable to sick a quarter between the lever and perch if it still does it something is of inn the arm that goes into the cover

the manual says 6 lbs of torque i used a old needle torque wrench so its around 6-8lbs of torque i havent messed with the cable but i did put in a new motion pro cable as well. any ideas does anyone know the position of the metal push pin that engages the clutch thanks

take the clutch arm off and spin the shaft in the clutch cover the same way the cable would pull it till it stops then reinstall the arm pointed slightly to wards the back of the motor

thanks duneracerweston ot was the clutch cable all good now Thanks again guys
