hahaha yeah right your whole tranny is fucked and it never works, when it works maybe but not by much. It has too much play. the only thing good about yours is that you rebuilt the top end and put a new clutch in it, hahaha new clutch mines 18 years strong.

Just looking at this post, and now i think I understand why my clutch is slipping, even though I put in a brand new Barnett package c/w springs.
To put the extra steel plate, where would you put it ?
Also, I did not find any spring plates in the assembly, when I took it apprt, and only found out that these are suppose to be there after looking at the Fiche...
would this be the source of my problems ???

Any help welcome...

I found that the EBC clutch pack is thinner then the stock and adding an extra steel plate to the EBC clutch pack brings it back to stock size

adding another steel plate will put more preload on the clutch springs, you need this on a stroker motor because of the extra torque they produce

I put it here.

[quote:elh9ny3i]thanks... taking the clutch out again tomorrow...
I wonder if I still need the #17?
Those are cushin springs, I guess for when you dump the clutch, or just hard use.[/quote:elh9ny3i]

I found mine to be worn out and have no spring left. I replace them and found that it was much easier to find neutral.
