Head is up for grabs. Looking for $275 with stock springs. Does not include cam, gaskets or rocker arms. I can do Kibblewhite springs for $110 on top of the above price. Gaskets will be and additional $30. Shipping will be $15. I will get the deck surfaced, pictures updated, and a link to the E-Bay auction later this evening. I would discount 10 percent off the total if someone wants to buy it before I list it.

Great looking work, for a very nice price!
May want to consider doing a core exchange deal too (just a thought).

How did you do the chamber? So clean, it looks CNC'd.

I put my protector valves in there, ground with a stone first step. Second step was with a mandrel and hard roll sanding cartridges course to fine. Last step was with a cross buff. Runners are the same steps except I stop with the 40 grit stone on the intake runner. I have done head porting on automotive heads for years so I have had plenty of practice.

GREAT work an. PM me if you interested in doing mine and shoot me a price too.

I would be glad to do any porting, oversize valve work, etc.

Porting the head would run $125
Valve job would run $40 regardless if oversize or stock (lapping only would be no charge if that is all that is needed)
Surface the head with CBN cutter would run $40 I only cut a bare minimum. If the surface is good, I will tape it off while porting to protect it.
Install stock springs would be no charge.
Install aftermarket springs would run $20 (price is for checking installed height and shimming accordingly.
If you don't have seals they would run $12 for a pair (Kibblewhite seals)

Oh I always called it a borring mic

We also use them to check pin bushings when rough boring them out. For actual cylinder bores we use a Sunnen dial bore guage. The telescoping guages can be off + or - .001-.002. Ok for checking spring heights but not so good when finishing a cylinder that only has a total clearance of .0025-.003.

By the way I just checked my head this morning, and the telescoping gauge is a pia to do. Really need a long one because you have to reach in from the other valve side of the head and hold it through the cam hole. I got it done, but was cussing it.

I can't believe they are running as much spring pressure as a stock small block on the seat and not much less than the small block open. Mine will have around 95 on the seat and 235 open on the intake and 220 on the exhaust. Got my dummy springs on so I can check piston to valve when the time comes.

Thank you. Now to get it sold so I can fund my build. My head is done with the .440/.390 cam in it. I have light springs on it for now so I can check piston to valve clearance. Got an Arias/White Brothers .020 piston on E-Bay for cheap. Now to get a crankshaft and move foreword. I can't believe I am going to have more money in this engine than I do in my 4.3 Chevy v6 in my GMC Jimmy!!
