Difference In Warrior Carbs 87-92 93-04

A buddy of mine is working on his 87 here,and I know they changed carbs in 93 up...from a 2 cable throttle setup,to a single cable...

His 87 has a single cable setup,so someone somewere...lol...has done some carb work...

His carb has what appears to be 2 vent tubes near the inlet side,were the one on my 97 only has 1 vent tube....

Is that second one a vent..???..you guys with the 2 vents just have them routed into one..??

87 has a single cable, a bit different then the modern one, then there is 88-92 that's double, then in 93+ it's the single modern style.

Awesome....now what about the vents,it has 2 on the intake side,where my 97 only has the one,with the one on the other side sealed from the factory,and looking through parts lists on line,they only ever show the one...

Is this second vent just supposed to be capped off closed,or routed as a second vent..??
