Edelbrock carb: twist to thumb?

Can you convert a Edelbrock twist throttle carb to a thumb throttle? Found a new one for cheap but its a twist.

Yes I believe you can get a kit to convert it to thumb..Not positive though

try calling edelbrock..There are many people on here with these carbs..Surely somebody knows

Didnt even think about calling Edelbrock. I'll do that later. I'm out to put on my new tie rods.

I know that the thumb and twist edelbrocks have 2 diffrent cable wheels to open them up i dont know if it makes a diffrence or not.. The twist throttle is safer than the thumb which is a plus.

Honestly twist throttle isn't bad, just takes some getting used to. It's horrible for rough trails though, everything else is fine. If it's a good price, I say just go for it.

Call up edelbrock and ask them what the differences are.

Yea I can't see how it's safer, it's so much easier to accidentally gas it. I almost ran into a tree once because I hit a big bump with the right wheel. The right side of the bars went up and I went near WOT because I didn't change my wrist angle.

Thats exactly why I want to stay with a thumb.
