well ill finally be gettin an edle carb(also IMS pegs and gripper seat cover) here in about 2 weeks or so off kyler. Thanks again! how are these things as for tuning and what not. from what ive read it sounds like its alot like the lectron carbs except with an accel pump, and to tune the top end you change out the main needle and theres an adjuster for the idle to 1/3 throttle. am i on the right track here? deadlast i know you have one. any tips you can give?? i cant stand the stock carbs.... what a headache, and plus i actually wanna gain some hp haha. thanks for any help!

FCR would be sweet. Why not stick with the lectron? Cool and different part.

The edle is a pain in the ass to tune just right but once you get it, its bad ass. You can change the main needle and there is a set screw on the top of it that will lower or heighten it. super simple but deff takes some time to get it just right paired with your carb, engine, and filtration. It also drinks gas. I don't sport that IMS tank for just looks, hahaha.

well that lectron would be nice but i talked to the guy from lectron and he said it would be a great carb for it and it would even perform better than the edle.... but then i ask if it will do just as good in slow moving and tight trail systems and what not...he paused... and said "well it would do ok but its more for WOT usage, like drag racing".... so i dont wanna put the money into something that isn't gonna be all around good for the monster. so i might just sell the lectron and use the money for a IMS tank haha they do look sweet.

hmmm so is the edle easier to tune then the stock carb? cause that thing is a joke. only thing i can see wrong with it is no choke.... but i was thinking about in the winter using the stock carb just so i can get it to start all the time.... i know its not as good, but im not patient when the thing is hard to start haha...

is the fcr carbs comparable to the edle's?

Yeah, much easier to tune. In the winter on intinal spray of starting fluid wakes it up, then when its warm it starts no problem.

ok sounds good to me. did u have to change any of the needles to get urs tuned in good? also do u have the owners manual for it? i tried looking on there website but only found the installation instructions.

thought about ebayin the lectron.... unless deadlast ur interested still? or to anyone else. ive seen them go for 150 to 200 on ebay in the shape mine is in. IDK we'll see. i'd sell it cheaper for my fellow 350 guys....

and what about air box? i was gonna run it with out the lid, i got a prodesign 2 stage filter with adapter. or should i go with the lid on and maybe just get them vented 1 inch hole inserts and put like 10 of them in the lid....

I runn no lid. A good pre-charger and oild filter will keep it clean. tomuch of a HP gain to mut take the lid off.

Isn't that lectron big on the intake? U need a special boot for it? I'm gunna pass on it.

ok i figured it would help alot. i still have the lid on and the stupid snorkle on my 87...

ya that lectron has a huge intake on er... ive found pics of it on diff. banshees and stuff and i think its cause your suppost to run the airfilter straight off the carb... which i am not about to do with the **** i go through...just askin for trouble then... no biggie ill post it for sale here and on flee bay haha some one will want it.
