Ok so I am new and have a question.
I have a 2002 warrior and it isn't running quite right. It will start up and idle fine but when you give it some fuel it will backfire and shut off Ive done some research but would like some information from other people.

Check you air filter and spark plug. If you can't remember when you last replaced the plug, it's usually time to replace it. Clean or replace your filter if necessary, and inspect all your intake boots for damage, cracks, splits, dry rot, etc... Make sure all the clamps are tight. If everything is good and it still runs porely, clean the carb.

Ok so carb has been cleaned and plugs been changed its running better just it will start to backfire when you giv it fuel and is acting like it can only go so fast

sounds like those damn clutch and parking brake safety switches my 01 was doing the only so fast and popping and it was the clutch safety switch so I got rid of them like I did on my 02

From what I know everything motor exhaust and carb wise it's stock.

Now how do you do the parking brake thing and the clutch thing.

Would if I could... but I've not had to do it yet. I'm assuming you cut and splice the wires together.

nope unplug the one with the white plug under head lights and the other one will have the npple plugs like the neutral and reverse light wires unplug the switch and plug the 2 ends in the harness together and then you can throw away the switches

you'll have to take the headlight mount off to get to the plugs that you need to to bypass the switches
