I just put a set of rings in my warrior and now it wont start.this is what all i did.

set the timing but i cant get the cam gear ligned up it seems to be 1 tooth past or 1 tooth before its weird.i did not remove the mageto.theres lots of spark.the plug is wet.and when i tried to start it a lil flame came out of the carb.if anybody cam help me that would be great.THX

sounds like shes outta time if its backfiring throu the carb... pull the timing plug on the stator cover, and pull the cam cover off. turn the motor over clockwise with the crank bolt. watch in the window and line the "T" on the flywheel with the line on the stator cover. once it aligned make sure the mark on the cam sprocket is line up with the mark on the head. if its way off, keep turning the motor over clockwise 1 revolution and line the "T" on the flywheel with the mark on the stator cover, now make sure that the cam sprocket mark is lined up. if its not then you"ll have to take the cam chain tensioner off and adjust the timing again.... do you have a manual or anything to help you thru it??

i tried to lign it up.like i said it very close.i will turn it one turn.and yes i du have a manual.so let me see if i have tis right its back firing cause the intake is opening wen the exhaust is supposed to be open.and that why its out 1 turn

If it backfires out the carb the intake is open on the compression when it fires.

ok so when i roll it over it does nothing, but if i put gas in the cylinder i get flames out the pipe until the gas gets burnt out of there like its backfiring.i am puzzled.and frustrated.

SO it worked and ran before u replaced the rings?

Its in time and the carb boot isn't ripped?

a new carb boot. Nothing you do will fix it. the pressure that goes through that thing is tremendous.
