O ogener Well-Known Member Joined Feb 21, 2007 Messages 257 Reaction score 0 Dec 3, 2007 #2 it can help restore an old clutch to an extent. but if the clutch is wore out its done anyway. but the extra plate helps to keep the clutch from bottoming out in its motion and can help engagement by putting a bit of extra pressure in the clutch.
