So my $350 Warrior had a miss/bog 1/4 to 3/4 throttle since the last owner had it. I know he had the carb rebuilt and I helped him put the top end back together, as I recall now it has a new piston and rings. Well in June I had a buddy ride it (2500 ft elevation) and rode OK, just baby it past the bog, but he rode it at a much higher elevation (5000 ft) in July and it was real bad. :argh: I finally time got around to check it out again.
First I checked the cam timing, valve clearance, rebuilt the carb, fixed the accel pump and messed with the needle, helped a little, but not there. I started thinking it had to be the main jet, I had a 145 and a 147.5 in it and both still missed at 1/4 to 3/4, but with the clip in the highest position it ran best. I ended up going down a size to 142.5 and the clip in the 2nd to top and perfect ! It's got the airbox intact with a K&N and the stock exhaust and the plug looks good, not black.

Where I live, most of the riding is in the winter in mud and rain, keeping that thing as bullet proof as possible since it's one we loan out. :atv:
