Fly wheel question

Going to be putting the 87 motor in the 98, but to do that I need to update the stator and flywheel because the 87 has 2 pickup coils. I have found a flywheel out of an 04. Is it the same as a 98 flywheel?

they have dif. part numbers on bike bandit so i dont think so

an 01 which uses the same stator has a slightly different part number. So I dont know how much you can go by that.

Found one off a 96 that has the same yamaha part number, so that one is garrenteed right. So unless some says the 04 will work and is better for some reason, Im gonna get the one that was on a 96.

i'd just go with the 96
