I just bought a 2002 warrior for my girl to ride with me. She loves it, and I have spent the past week cleaning it up making some small upgrades and updates to get it ready for the trail. It really is a great little quad. Im looking to add some power, but more importantly, the stock pipe sounds HORRIBLE. I found an FMF slip on pipe brand new for 125. Thats a good deal right? My question is this... The bike is at the shop now getting a carb rebuild (stock specs). It didnt need it, but I wanted to do it for peace of mind. Will I need to rejet when I add the FMF pipe, or will I be good to go? I have heard mixed opinions, most people say that with just a slip on, you shouldnt need to rejet. Will I see any noticeable power gains, or just a better sound. I have heard FMF is actually pretty quiet, but I am sure it will sound better than stock. Any opinions? Thanks

Congrats on the buy. What model is it? Yes you will need to rejet. You should get about a 2-4 HP gain. Factory Crab rebuild......that sounds pricey.

its a 2002, and im paying 100 bucks to have the carb rebuilt. That includes taking it off and putting it back on the bike.

where did u get a fmf slip on for 125?! i want i want! haha

ok well i decided not to pipe/jet it just yet, she is still getting the feel for the bike, so im just gonna update some other things on it before adding more power, that will probably be a project over the cold winter months when were not riding as much. anyhow, the pipe is still for sale, heres the link.

hope someone can take advantage of this great deal

A pipe, intake and even correct jetting is not going to make a HUGE difference in power but it will, it wont be more than she can handle with the pipe jetting and intake if she can ride it fine now.
