To really see if your wheel bearings are shot you can pull the front hub , and give them a good inspection. The bummer about the front bearings, is that their pressed in. If you have access to a press your style'n, but a local shop could probably do for a few bucks.
I've always beat them out with a hammer, and a punch. Then use my truck, and a hydraulic jack to press the new ones in.

Use a hammer and a socket the same size as the outer race on the bearing, and pound them in on a bench.

^^^How do I go about that? I was checking the whole front end I counted the thread lines after the bolt on the tie rod to make sure they were even and they are

Have you ever ran one over with a lawnmower??
I lost a brand new grease gun last summer, but found it while I was mowing the back yard this spring.... It was a fricken grease explosion man!!!
It bend the blade on the lawnmower to.. lmao

@1stavt.
I would be willing to bet that your wheel bearing are the culprit as well.

no thats your tie rod ends needing to be adjusted

YUP wheel bearings is were i'd lean torward and see if tie rod lock nuts have moved, as far as grease guns.......i put 1 in the sprocket of my CAT375 excavator on purpose (i threw it n found it again) wanted to make sure it wasn't gunna be used again, ya know, get rid of the bad egg, she blew:haha:.............dam gives me ideas.........gotta run, gotta call my EX

oh yea, socket n hammer bro, just keep it all square, hit it, look, hit it, once it's seated your good to go

i missed this due to grease gun jokes:haha:

hmmm how would i do that?:???: im sure others will have a better/ different way butttttt measure across tire at top n bottom, use 2 tapes, put 1 on ground and roll tiresover it and measure top n compare, adjust tie rods till they match, do both tie rods evenly thou, move quad after you adjust thou cause the rubber wont move that little due to friction/trackion, ok guys now tell me the correct way, this should be done with quad weight on it rite??? not jacked up???

I always find it kinda sketchy beating on the bearings. One slip, and the bearing is facked!! At least if you press them in they can't get damaged, and you know their seated in all the way. :iagree:

i know what you mean and i have a press but i did them that way for many a years...........tap/tap.......not pound/pound, you can hear/feel/see how there going in, and grease both parts, and FREEZE bearing prior to install (and i mean put it in freezer) it makes it smaller

Just need the right tool to install a bearing by hand. I press bearings on with certain parts. I.E. cam bearings, crank bearings, etc. Just about anything that a bearing has to go over to be installed. A bearing that goes into a bore, I usually do by hand. ALthough, a press does make life easier. And, a little hint for those that delve into replacing the inner cam bearing... if you have an old cam, take the outter bearing off and use it to install the inner bearing. Works great, no needle can pop out.

Make a dropbox account, i upload my pics to the public folder on my dropbox and just link them here, works awesome. Nice that i can sync it between my main PC, laptop and phone and access and edit my pics and stuff on whatever i'm using.

Holy moly thanks bones. This is the 3rd day after I bought it. I started to tear it down and repaint and replace all worn parts.

P.s I know this is probably te wrong sections so if you want admins you can relocate I would hate for this topic to go off topic

I wouldn't worry about it.
Most threads go way off topic around here. lol

True dat^^^. We all have A D D here. Not too long ago we went from a bake sale, to yfm calander with wargirl, to a calander with dudes and their bikes(no clue why anyone would want that one), to drinking, to talk on lezzies, to what we've done while drunk, etc etc... ON ONE THREAD! lol
