and to your second post, the raptor would smoke a 250, the banshee could only beat it if their both modded as far as possible because more is built for the shee. and the 700r doesnt have the power or the acceleration of the 660, because the 5 valve head was the smartest thing yamaha did to quads, they even used it on the 450r for a couple years.

false the 250 wouldnt get smoked. on of my frieds had a 660 and thought he was hot **** but as soon as he lined up with a yfz or my banshee hed get his *** handed to him. i mean its a good quad but the only thing it has going for it is stump pulling torque

the yfz will out accelerate a 660 but top end it does not hold a candle to it, and dirt wheels did all sorts of testing and the raptor beat out the banshee in alot of tests and was said to be the better quad, and we see the ancestor of which one still going? my point exactly

I own a raptor 700 and my buddy actually has a 660 raptor, one of the last years they came out with them. The 700 is a much better machine and not only handles better but in a drag race kicks its ***. Preditor 500's I've seen kick 660's ***.

A stock 660's has like 34 hp.
A stock 700 has 47 hp.

According to wikianswers.com the 700 is 37, and the raptor 660 has 37, and the 700 is 26cc's bigger that shows the power differnce in the head design

Most raptor 700's will dyno around 40hp or so stock to the wheels.
