Watch the smack on the mukuni... I run a 38mm rs mukuni on mine, its crisp and is uber easy to tune, and it just pulls like a mofo!

It's not really the tuning that's got me with the Mikuni. It's actually pretty easy to rejet, and what not.. There not a horrible carb.
It does it's job, and gets air & fuel to the motor. It just doesn't do a very good job.. lol

I need a bigger carb on this 490 though, I'm going after the 40mm PWM. With the squish down to .065, my head mod, and the mild porting. A bigger carb should give me a bit more bottom end, and a more predictable powerband.. That's what I'm after..

Just gotta know how they work. My dad has built HUNDREDS of Q-JETS. If you undestand them they will outperform nearly all aftermarket carbs. As for mikuni over keihin... if it's big and isn't a crap box like the small carbs on the ute quads, I'll tune it or run it! lol
