Hard to shift

Anyone else a hell of a time shifting? I ride with boots on and notice when I have my shoes on i really have to pop the lever hard as hell to get it up. It's even worse when the oil level is down, as it is on my quad more often then not (Leaky and bad valve seals) Tranny issues? Shift drum? Shift star?

When the quad isn't running, it shifts fine with my hand. It's been like this but I never really worried about it much.

mine is too man. i don't really pay attention too much because i normally have work boots on when i ride. i think it's just the nature of the beast.

could be that the yz shifter makes it a bit more difficult too i dunno. the gear shifting is more precise, but a hair more work. it's weird to explain.

Mines the same way. Ever since i made my direct shifter its alot stiffer but more precise like Jons said

shorter shifter = more force its all about leverage
