Okay I have a 2004 wolverine with an HMF slip on, K&N, custom snorkle, and Dyno jet kit (155 main) Right now i have 25" mudlite xl's on it and it turns them with no problem. However on the long hill climbs like at Windrock Tn it needs a little improvement. So
I have finally decided to go into the motor of my 2004 wolverine. However I cant seem to decide which way to go. I was looking into the powroll 365 kit($250.00) and it seems nice but at 10.5 to 1 compression can I still run pump gas? I was also looking into just doing a wiseco .040 over with the 10.25 to 1 piston only $80.00 and a EPI clutch kit then I know it will run on pump gas. How much of a power difference will there be between the two and would it be enough to justify the price? I would like to be able to turn some 25" outlaws

you will get a larger difference in power due to the compression ratio than with boring it out. Yes at 10.5:1 you will still be able to run pump gas although you should probably run premium.

Should I just go up maybe .020 or .040 over and go with the 10.5:1 piston or should i go with the Powroll 366 kit. I just installed the EPI clutch kit today and lost about 3-4 mph top end I would like to get that back some how any suggestions.

I dont know much about the powroll kit other than I have heard the name a couple of times.

If you are fine with the stock bore and want to stay with the reliability and not having to go bigger and possibly replace the sleeve in the head at the next rebuild then you should go with just a .20 overbore.

If you are not really smoking at all then I would stay with a stock bore and just rehone the cylinder and bump the compression, although if your quad is smoking I would go with a .20 overbore just to clean it up. If you were really wanting to make it have a lot more power and you dont care about having a little more money tied up in the rebuild go crazy and call
www.fourstroketech.net.

I have an extra cylinder if i need it. I was just trying to figure out which would produce the most power. I think I will just go with the 366 kit from FST and then get a new cam. How much power do you think in will produce? What is the highest compression you can run on pump gas?

I think even 11-1 is ok on premium and maybe even a little higher. I think after you get up to 13-1 you need to run race gas.

But remember that when you get over 11-1 you have a little less chance of longevity.

I really like my FST kit that is in my 450 and they used to make a 435 kit for the old 350 and you might still be able to get that from FST.

I think I will just go with the FST 366cc kit and a new web cam. I talked to my mechanic and he said with the HMF,K&N (w/ pro flow adapter), Dyno Jet, and the EPI Clutch kit that i have already added I should expect about 25-30% increase in hp from the 366cc kit w/ 10.5:1 piston.
