I'm planing on changing my piston to give my ATV more power.I have two ideas on my mind either bore it .040 over with 10.5:1 compression piston or keep standard bore with 10.5:1 compression i have a tight budget so i want the best bang for my buck i already have a fmf slip on muffler K&N air filter and jetted all input is appreciated

You won't notice a huge difference in the cc's. But, you won't know if you will have to go .040" over untill you take it apart and measure the cylinder. If the bore looks good and is within tolerance, then just hone it and leave it standard size.

I know the cylinder is good it has low hours how much power gain will i notice with the standard bore 10.5:1 compression piston

You'll feel it in the bottom end. It will come on stronger then stock. In terms of hp... idk, maybe 1.5? High comp wants more parts i.e. cam, porting, vito's key (do that), better carb, etc... The vito's key advances the ignition timing 4*, so it too makes the bottom end come on harder. Do that and the piston and you'll feel a big difference. And, the vito's key is cheap, only $22ish. You will need flywheel puller, and stator cover gasket.

Will it add as much as the air filter muffler and jets

I run 93 in it now just because its a better quality gas and makes it run better as for the heat depending on how hot it will run thanking about the oil cooler just in case

hey i have a question about jetting.... i pulled my carb the other day what are the stock jets for the wardog? i had a 145 main

Yea its a 145 I put a 150 main in for the air filter and muffler but how will the power gain compared the the muffler air filter and jets more or less
