I took the flywheel of recently but in the process before i could get it off i had a flywhee puller on the flywheel and i tryed to take it back off and never held the puller, just turned the little screw part and went flying, it made a loud noise like a gear go loose.

do u think i broke anything or do u guys just think it was that little gear that is on starter and flywheel? or do u think i broke something inside the case?

i took a video of what it does now it hisses. is that normal?

also what are those 2 screw holes for in the picture? also the arrow is the gear im gtalking about.

also is that cam sprocket suppose to be like that haha?

I can tell but what did you do to make that hiss noise? Sounds to me just like air or oil seeping by. Yeah that cam and cam gear are suppose to be like that. Is floating in between the lobes on the cam. Everything looks to be ship-shape to me. I highly doubt u broke anything in the case.

the hissing noise just happens when i turn that sleeve with that wrench.

i just didnt know if u messed up a gear inside the case or something.

so that hiss is okay>?

thanks for the help im paranoid ima gonna mess up the motor haha

i don't see anything wrong man. just air compressing. it's gonna sound different when the cover is off anyway.

well i got it back together mostly, just waiting on a torque wrench that im getting tonight and gonna throw some oil in it, wish me luck hopefully i got this timing stuff on hahah

anything i should know when putting everything back together?

just torque them 2 bolts the cam bolt and stator bolt.

no loctite right?

Ya that's why I asked haha I don't want that to happen to me. Would loctite mess anything up. If not I'm gonna use some.

Also how can I tell if I'm at true TDC not just 180 out

As long as its all to spec you should be good. U gunna get a nrw gasket or use RTV to reseal that side case?

TDC on the cam when doing the chain is easy. Make sure the cam notch is pointing up and on the wheel, use the T that has the other mark close to it, that T on the other side is 180 out.

Ohh I didn't kno there was 2 T marks on the flywheel. Thanks and I just got a new gasket.

If you do use loctite use the blue stuff. NOT the red or it will be a bitch to get off the next time you have to, if you do....
