well.... i got bored today and decided to modify my air box/filter

so as most of you know the factory air filter is misaligned about a half inch or so inside the box , so your not getting all to air into your engine that you should ..

a good fix for this is to but an aftermarket air intake setup ..$70 or higher
worth it but for some its exspensive

as of right now im drawing unemployment so i fall into that "some" category...

also i modified the stock filter screen, the metal screen blocks alot of air
besides its only function is to keep the filter in "shape"

so this is what i came up with ..and believe it or not ..there is a very notiable gain in power

modded filter screen...just be dam sure to get ALL the metal shaving off!

^^if you look at the bottom of the pic you will notice that a cut off the flange that sits against the carb side of the air box and nocthed the white plastic peice so that it would sit all the way down in the box to provide proper alignment
 
Nice man,, I have a new K&N just have not got oil/cleaner kit yet to put it in.!! Looks good. Hope it helps her breath!!!
