My first is a 89, got it free from mom's uncle's son, rode it flipped it, stored it. Needed a serious carb rebuild, has DG bumper, 2000 plastics, Uni Filter, rest stock, Renthal Chain, Wheelie Monster...This was back my soph year in HS, bout 9 years ago.
Just bought my 2nd last april, busted up and abused 89 heritage but seems to have mixed parts from other donor years. Older headlights, newer grab bar things like that. Cracked case, SHOt axle bearings.
Tore it odwn, repainted the frame black, a arms silver, shocks yellow.
11 tooth front sprocket and up 2 in the rear to 42 I believe.
Just got engine welded and back in, re ringed it. All for free, I did all the work but the weld. Just rode it two days ago for the first time. I will figure out how to get some pics later. SERIOUS WHEELIE monster, you'll learn its about fun not speed. Never had a problem with the first bike, Runs like a raped ape! The second one I got for 350 put about 1 into it, for 400 got her running again, bought some gold rimzzzz. P I M P.
