hey guys,

my warrior runs awesome! that being said i just gotta piss with it... how do you tune a white bros e series pipe? i see that there are like 12 disks in it... can someone knowledgeable explain how they work, and what affect adding and removing disks has to the powerband... not looking for simple answers here.. those i can handle myself ;D...

oh btw i have the stock headpipe still... i have no hesitation (once warm) with the stock carb and it runs the whole way thru the powerband with out missing a beat... i just want to make sure there isnt 1/4hp im missing (thats just the way i am, its sickening ahaha)

Generally more discs give you more top end, and of course more noise. Fewer discs will give you better low end power and less sound output. Of course this only works to a point. Go from 12 discs to 8 and you would show some more bottom end power and a little less on top on a dyno. Now, throw 2 or 3 discs in it and all you'll get is an all-around loss of power.

You probably want to run at least 8 discs, anything less than that will probably show more losses than gains. Don't expect any drastic increases in power though, you're probably only talking about half a horsepower either direction so in reality you most likely won't feel a difference in performance.

If you want more info this FAQ might be helpful. It's Supertrapp's FAQ but it all applies the same, Supertrapp was the originator of the disc exhaust.

cool thats the kind of answer i was looking for... i've always been a fan of more low end so looks like ill be taking some disks out... im also kinda getting tired of that noisy sob so seems like it will be a win-win...
