I bought a cheap-o crankcase filter from autozone but I had to visit 2 of them before I found one. I will eventually order the matchng K&N filter and they can be bought off ebay for 10 bucks or more. Otherwise they are 20 something.

You can possible buy an elbow that has 2 different size ends on it. One size for the hose and the other for the filter. I would use an elbow when I drill a hole in my air boz for it.

Yep surprise us with a new thread....
whats a crankcase filter for..what does it help if u add one..

On the warrior there is a hose that connects from the left side of the motor to the top of the air box lid. When you remove the lid the hose is left wide open to the elements IE: Dirt, Water to name a few. With the air box lid removed you must add another filter so that nothing gets sucked into the motor.

The raptor 350 air box is set up differently and and the hose connects to the boot going from the air box to the motor so the crank case filter is not needed.

o kk i wast'it sure..i know i seen some warrior whit them...put didin really know what they where for...

cant you just run the tube up to the airbox and not use a filter or do you need a filter to keep dirt out? does the crankcase vent hose suck or blow? (sorry for the terminology)

You should have a breather filter on there, it's cheap security that you won't get dirt and other debris in your engine. It blows out, but that doesn't guarantee that stuff can't get in there, especially when riding through water or washing it.

Under normal operation the only thing that comes out of the breather is some hot air with some interesting fumes. If you check out my pictures there's a pic in there with my breather mounted in the airbox. You don't need to put it there, but it's protected from the elements a little better, and keeps it out of the way.

gatta clean taht thing
huh? do you mean "GOTTA clean THAT thing? lol it is semi-clean now. i rode a little around the land and went across the creek that runs through it. got a little bit of mud on it, but should come right off since i used the silicone detailing spray stuff. the honda needs a little attention, but its my girlfriends so if she wants it clean she will have to take the time to wash it. i pay for the damn thing, so if she wants to ride it, shes got to wash it! im putting my foot down damnit! lol now i feel like a big man!
