you don't have to have both, but id be better have the bottom one only, then just the top.
 
so your saying that if i dont have both i should at least have the bottom one.where can i find a picture of these rollers and where they are.
 
your welded on post is toast... long gone, not sure why yamaha had to weld a post on for the roller instead of a sacrificail bolt... and most wheelers are tards so when the plastic roller where out they don't even notice so the the chain goes to work on the post, pretty soon there is nothing left
 
Moose Racing makes some rollers that are universal, and the bolt is included. This is what I ended putting on mine.
 
Moose also makes some stock replacements, or you could go OEM. I would coat the post good with some lithium grease,and make sure all of the burrs are off of it though before you slide the new roller on. You could even fill in the grooves with some JB Weld if you wanted too for strength.
