Unless it's like NY, where anything older 5yrs (or is it 7, I don't remember) doesn't need collision.

But yeah, a single male under 25 is gonna get hosed when it comes to insurance.

His grandfather owned the car and is handing it down to him.

It's not really what I'd call spoiled. Congrats Timmey! I'd hate to see the insurance...lol...Down here it'd be at least 400/month for a 16 yr old boy with just liability! I know several people who pay as much on insurance as they do on the actual car payments!
