is this a bad sign?knocking that sounds like its coming from the engine area

hey guys im new here and new to atvs
i recorded this earlier and posted it on you tube to get some opinions on what might be wrong with my 2002 yamaha warrior.its makeing a weird knocking sound around the engine section and when i started it up it there was white smoke coming out the muffler for about 5minutes untill it cleared up.

hmm you sure?it might just be me trippen because to be honest by this being my first atv i dont know if that is normal or what.it runs real good with plenty of power but i stop driving it after i noticed that sound

Hard to tell from a video, but it sounds like normal valvetrain noise to me. Maybe check your timing chain, might need a new one.

yea im bringing it to get serviced on monday.so i hope everything is good with it

i think its your cam. mine dose that when it gets really hot

Yupp, Warriors are loud due to their design. Its normal. But if the noise sounds funny or get louder, be sure to check your valve clearance and cam chain tension.
