I have a 1987 yamaha warrior with a .10 over forged piston, stage 1 cam, full dg exhaust. I have moved needle at highest point and running a 170 main jet. When i am at higher rpm's it cuts out really bad. Just wondering if anyone has any suggestions for me?

sounds like you might be rich on the main jet. what jets are you using? if its dyno jet, i dont know how those numbers run, but if it is mikuni, then i would guess it is way to rich for your set-up but really cant tell. also from what i have been hearing, its best to let the needle c-clip in the factory setting, which is right in the middle.

Regardless of the type of jet, 170 is still too high of a main jet for 99.9% of the warriors out there, a jet that large will surely make it run like ****. Try something around a 150 or 152.5, see what happens. The needle shouldn't need to be that rich either, I would try either middle notch or second from the bottom.

I put a 147.5 in it today and left the needle at the highest point and its almost there! I am thinking of moving the needle one more spot down and it should be perfect! Thanks alot for your guy's help
