Mogadore, Oh
just got a pipe for my warrior its a fmf megamax and its in great shape for only 60 bucks and it sounds good to my question is is where should i start with jetting

just read the plug... youll probably need to turn your air out to around 2 turns but even that is not always a given... every motor acts differently... just be careful and read you plug... what my experiences 4 strokes are not like 2 strokes that will burn up in a matter of minutes if they arent jetted right....

i have a wiesco 10.25:1 piston, stock head pipe and a white bros e-series.. .and honestly i havent even rejetted... just turned the air screw to around 2 turns.... it back fires when you are "coming down" like coasting down a hill.... from what i understand this is caused by a lean condition on the pilot/ air screw...

Jet kits are a waste of money. Why buy 12 jets and a needle for $70 when all you need is a couple jets for trial and error? Total cost there-10 bucks.

For a jetting baseline, start out with a 150 main jet and see how it runs. You may need one size bigger or smaller but 150 will be close. You'll probably need to back out the fuel screw (there hasn't been an air screw on a 4 stroke since the 70's, if ever), but the needle should be fine in the stock position. If it does seem to be a little lean in the midrange you can lower the clip a notch and try it that way.

ok ya busted me... thats my sled background coming out hahaha

on that FUEL screw it is out for more gas and in for less, right?

If you did not switch to a highflow airfilter then there really is no reason to need a rejet.

Dynojet kits are not only a waste of money... but they will confuse the hell out of you... why in the hell they ever decided to make their own jetting number system is beyond me...

They might as well just put the world small on the smallest one and big on the biggest one and let you decide which one might be right.

Not to mention you will only use it maybe once before you need to go out and get the stage 2 because you did too many mods and cant compensate for the change with the 3 or 4 completely useless jets that are too small for anything.
