I have been running my quad with stock jets, the only mod i have is the motor is bored out a little bit, and i have a K & N Air Filter. Should I go up one jet size or should i be good at 145.

I still run closed air box with NO holes and stock exhaust WITHOUT baffle.

I take it that the K&N is a stock replacement drop in type filter? Jetting is mainly for how the carb is breathing. Your Jetting should be fine. Unless you notice it acting weird. Do you?

it was fine until i started getting all these problems with the engine stalling and backfiring, i was just wondering if it would contribute.

How long were you riding with the filter and bore before it started all that? Did it happen right after those mods were done or just randomly?

Have you by chance checked you carb boot for cracks?

Good call deadlast.... Also look into your accel pump, make sure its not sticking.... Also do a plug chop, it will tell you were your at, what part of the throttle is it backfiring/dieing at?

it started randomly just like 2 weeks ago, i torn the carb apart and found the accel pump plunger frozen down, i dunno if it was frozen while it was still on or after i reassembled it but it is unfrozen now, and also there was a crack in the boot but i might have done that, so i ordered a new one. We will see i just didnt know if a wrong jet over time would cause issues.

and it was at HIGH RPM when i goose it, but it was only sometimes

the carb boot crack was your problem. Or do you still have issues with the new boot?

will find out soon, its the last thing to come in the mail... figures haha. i bought a new shifter for direct shift because i was in the woods and it broke off, a carb rebuild kit for the carb gaskets, and some various brake parts. i will let u know

no luck its something in the carb, i used my buddies carb and it ran fine
