Knocking coming from Stator side of motor

I just bought a 2002 Warrior and the top end was just professionally rebuilt a month ago along with starter and starter clutch. It starts up first time every time runs strong but has a knocking coming from the clutch side of motor it does it constant no matter what gear or with clutch engaged or disengaged. The guy I bought it from said the shop that rebuilt the top end told him it was a part in the clutch assembly that was doing it but they told him it costs more to fix than the Warrior is worth and a lot of people run them like that forever and never have any problems. Could someone please tell me what it is cause it just doesn't seem right. It shifts good and doesn't slip and the knock does get faster with rpm. The Warrior is in very good shape and very clean
PLEASE HELP
update the knocking is coming from the stator side behind the cover close to where the wires go in.

well after very close listening and feeling the motor in different spots it is not on the clutch side its coming from behind the Stator cover on that side of motor and it does speed up when revved.

kinda feels like its coming from the area where the stator wires go into the motor right in front of the front sprocket

it doesn't get louder when under load just goes faster with rpm
and wouldn't they have replaced the rod bearing when they rebuilt the top end?

Huh duh thats right because the older motors have a different flywheel with different pickups from the stator. I guess take that apart and look for something out of the ordinary or loose
