leaking oil

Took the pull star assembly off to put on my direct shifter, I don't have a stator cover yet and oild leaks from that nut. If I don't get a stator cover do I need something else to put where that nut goes to stop the leak?

Nevermind I figured it out, I didn't have that collar that has the o ring in it so I went to my 94 and snagged it from that
