Lower chain roller removal

Would it hurt if my lower chain roller got remove didn't mean to but it kinda got cut off by the chain so the question I have is what will happen without it? Should I be worried?

You need to put a bolt through where the mount was and run a bearing roller. Yes you need it.

the lower roller prevents the chain from flopping and without it can cause damage to swingarm and possible chain break resulting in case breakage

I've been running w/o mine for years and never had a problem with the chain. Now I just jinxed myself. LOL. need to learn to keep my mouth shut.
