i know this is a good cam but do i have to run heavy duty springs, wat would happen if not

I was checking spring height and pressures on my head builds. The Aftermarket springs don't really have a lot more pressure than stock. From what I see, they achieve the pressure with smaller diameter springs to give more room to coil bind. Coil bind is a bad thing and is hard on cams and rockers.

A good aftermarket spring set will do a couple of things. It will stabilize the valvetrain at higher rpm's & try to prevent valve float. They will also recommend a proper install height which should in most cases ~ provide enough spring pressure to control the valvetrain & PREVENT coil bind. At max lift, in your case .450 with your springs setup properly you should be able to measure .060 or more of clearance beetween the coils. A few thou less will be fine, this is what is "safe".
In my case I bought the Kibblewhite kit. It's good to .530 lift @ their recommended intall height. So I can shim it .020 tighter than that, still have my recommended coil bind clearance & gain a few psi of pressure to control the valves.

just fyi, i called web the other day and was told their spring kits are repackaged kibble whites
