Got my warrior tuned in, now i'm looking to add more top end speed since I ride the road alot to get to trails, any ideas for mods? Still need enough torque to pull decent hills but i dont need 0-35 in 2 seconds either. Lol. I currently have a wiseco 357 piston kit, white bros mx4 slip on, k&n air filter, moose jet kit, dpk clutch and stock gears

ive got 13 38 now and first gear is like a tractor. I'd like to get at least 60-65 before i get a cam

13/38 is not stock gearing. Stock is 13/40. You will get the biggest change in gearing from raising or lowering the number of teeth on the front sprocket. Right now, your gearing is taller then stock, and thus have more top speed. Three teeth on the rear sprocket is roughly equal to 1 tooth on the front sprocket. What size rear tires do you have? 14/40 is a very common gearing, especially with 20" rear tires. That may be what you need. You could always go 13/37, which will be close to the 14/40, but, it will behave differently because of how the overall gearing was achieved.

you can only get a 37 for a first gen...

if you have 20s, id go 14-38
if you have 22s, go 14/40.

a cam and carb will show the most bang for your buck.

I've got 20" bandits now and they SUCK. Looking at some holeshot hd's etc but im gonna stay with 20s

Id Get something different than the hole shots I have them and they wear down fast!

Alex your gay ha ha holeshots are great Tires I have 3 sets now ha ha my tens on my bike now and I also have the ones from the stock 450 wheels my 20-11-10s don't wear hardly at all and the 20-10-9s in storage idk about but they are new lol and my 20-10-10s I just picked up will be spares for a rainy day

Hey now I'm not dissing on the tread pattern the tire compound is really soft on the holeshots. Really soft. Wears way to quickly to justify the price when you can buy some off brands that will last longer.

its all in which set of holeshots you get, the gncc are hard compound, origonals are soft and all the others are various compounds.

I run holeshots and i love them. One started to wear faster then the other but thats only becuase of a track i rode with rock hard dirt and had to drift one corner. I have a friend with a set of holeshots that i beleive are the gncc's that are a softer compound but his quad sits in my garage and never gets ridin so there i cant compare the two.
