holeshot is the only tire i can get a solid positive opinion. Some people are die hard razr fans and ambush fans but everyone seems to agree holeshots are good tires.

I like the pattern of the holeshot hd's, any opinions? I know the gncc's are good tires because i ran them on my 400ex hard on trails for 2.5 years before they needed to be replaced

I got som GBC X rex and they are really nice and increasingly the go to gncc tire. Plus they are better priced than paying for the ITP name. Also have some BKT 6 ply and they seem really nice considering I wasn't too sure bc I hadn't heard much about them. Those are both nice woods tires IMO but I LOVE my xrexs'

Thor rider bigger tires don't equal top end that's all low end torque.you get running 20" rears and either a 14-38 gear set or a 15-40 like mine you gain topend. what is needed to achieve good top end is a good cam, good carb and some gearing changes with 20"

You wont gain much from the biiger tires, but lets say you and i both have the same mods but one of us has 20" tires and the other has 22", the one with 22's will have just a hair more topend compared to the other with 20's. My friend has always ran 22's while i had 20's and he had just a bit more top end. Yes you are right about the other mods needed to acheive a good top end, but for just tires alone it can alter your final speeds.

I'll give you a hair line pull on an 1/8th but 1/4 no way bigger just makes less revolutions per spin of the tire geared right you'll pull on most any one either way

Not saying your wrong by any means but it's such a small diff you wouldn't notice any thing but a slightly steady pull if that

Yea to really notice it you'd have to either have a radar to compare or someone with the same quad same mods but different tires to notice.

Just to clear this up, hes looking for top speed, not "top end"

top end is when the power is mostly in the upper rpms or revs ot really fast and high.

the only mods that will gain speed is gearing, but in doing so, your gonna loose power noicably. i run 15-38 on 18s and in a speed trap top of 5th is 55 miles a hour if that helps thats roughly the same as 14-40 on 22s or 14-38 on 20s
