Superbowl Sunday started off with a nice ride and ended up with my Warrior taking a plunge. Ah, the joys of California trail riding in the mountains. Hit a soft patch on top of hard pack while turning, except the kept moving in a straight line rather than turning, i.e., no traction. As a result of not being able to correct for this fast enough, bike was going off an embankment. I ditched it, not knowing what was on the other side, which was 150 ft drop down a steep hill and lots of bolders. Took 250 ft of tow strap, a truck, and five buddies to dig it out. Here's the damage, and after I just got in a bunch of new parts for it too. :-[
So all in all, the damage was 3 bent rims, a bent and twisted frame, bent light bar, scratched plastic, and a bent axle. Just got a frame off of e-bay for $175 which is good, but this is going to be 4-5 month project to get enough money together to put it back together. Enjoy your guys ride, I miss mine already.
