Does anyone know how these load ranges work with the tires? Im lookin at these tires and they say max load is 1400 pounds. now is this like 1400x4 for 4 tires?

Im looking to get these tires the 205/65/15. I know small but i would rather have small tires and be able to keep up with highway speeds than have to down shift to 3rd gear and floor it on little hills hahaha...

i think 1400 would be sufficient for what i need to haul in the bed.

what are your guys thoughts on this size tire aswell?

the 1400 lb is the carring capacity of one tire at maximum pressure which is usually around 60-65 psi on most light duty tires. the thing you have to remember is that load rating includes the weight of your truck. so if each tire can carry 1400lb then the total capacity is 5600lb minus the wight of the truck so say about 4000lb wich leaves you with 1600lb. the problem is that if you were to put that weight in the bed only it would put about 75-80% of that weight on the two rear tires. that means the rear tires would carry around 1300lb combined. divide that by two and each tire carrys 650lb. seems fine right? but then you have to add to that the 1000lb of the truck that that tires carrying and it comes out to around 1650lb which exceedes the 1400lb load rating.

idk if i said that clear enough for you to understand but id definately recommend going to an actual tire shop and talking to someone that knows what they are talking about because im not an expert im just speaking from my personal experienve. also getting tires from tire rack ends up costing more half the time since you both have to pay for shipping and most shops charge more for mounting if you didnt buy them there.
