will do nothing, but click. the battery is good, the connections are clean. before this started i heard the starter sound weak and it was making a light screeching noise. it will do nothing now and i noticed a couple days ago that the quad didn't want to start very easy. also, tried to arc the solenoid with a screw driver and it would not engage the starter that way either.

is this the one way bearing that i hear about or another issue?.

if jumping the terminals on the solenoid dosent work i would say that mostlikely your starter is toast. try taking the starter out of the motor and hook the case to the negative of the battery and the terminal to the positive. if it dosent spin you found the problem

where is the best place to buy a starter? i found some on ebay for 28 bucks, but are they any good?

I bought a cheap one new off ebay for a Kawasaki once last year and its still running strong so i guess go for it lol

im bumping this to ask where the best place to buy a starter is? i bought that 28 dollar dbelectrical starter back on Oct 18th and it worked great until today. says there is 1 yr no hassle warranty, but if they don't honor it where could i get a good one?

don't really wanna spend a small fortune on it from the dealer, but i could do a little more than 28 bucks haha.

I cant believe how cheap those starters are on ebay...$28! if the seller had good feedback, which he does, I would grab one.

maybe they want BS me. it was worth 28 bucks, but damn i don't wanna have to replace it every month.

I got one off of ebay for $47.00 back in April still workin good, made in china but works great so far.
