My FST 446 stroker is smoking a bit on start-up, so I need to do valve stem seals and rings before the race season starts. Being the procrastinator that I am, my first race is in two weeks and I just got the motor out and on my bench. I looked up FST online so I could call and get the proper gaskets I need and I see that they no longer take credit cards, which means I can't order online and I don't have the time to waste sending a check. Does anyone know of another outlet I could get the head gasket and rings from that would fit their kit? And if it makes any difference it's on the first overbore from the original bore for the 446 kit.

Yeah this type of thing you pretty much have to use what the engine builder recomends as there are very few people that know what he uses. If you had a piston number and manufacture you could call them direct and talk to a tech. Also for head gaskets cometic does custom work and will make you anything you want. You'll have to know bore size, thickness and what type of material you want the gasket to be made out of.

craptastic.

That's what I get for waiting when I had all winter to do this.

Powroll might know but I think you would pay a lot more through them as there priced pretty high in compared to FST.
CWR does 89mm overbores and uses a bigger sleeve then FST. So his gaskets and rings are going to be different. Powroll I believe uses the same sleeve as FST. Not piston though. So I would give Mickey a call.

I got it apart and after looking at things and checking ring end-gap, I decided to just do valve seals and head & base gaskets. I checked Powroll's site and found what I was looking for in gaskets so I made the order. Seals I'll get from the dealer. Thanks guys! (Sorry Mickey!)

Turns out Powroll's gasket is 86.5mm and I need an 87.5mm. They have a larger one for their overbore sizes of their kit, but they don't have any in stock and to make some up special would be four weeks. So I'm back to square one. And Mickey had a message on his machine that he's sick and will "try" to be back Tuesday.

Imagine that, Cometic has a complete top end kit in the right bore size. They must make FST's gaskets. $77 plus shipping. Guess I'll make my race after all.
