Need help in re threading valve cover

I ended up pulling half of the threads out of one of the bolt holes that holds the exhaust valve cover on. I have asked a few people and they say you can't re thread it. Any suggestions would help?

Drill and retap larger

When you say half, I'm assuming there are more down in the hole? Get a longer bolt then, and don't go crazy tightening it.

Well there isn't enough thread to seal it.
