I have a stock 2000 warrior cdi broke was looking at one of those G4 rev box and a power pack from parts direct can i use this with everything else stock what do u guys recommend or should i just get the Yamaha stock cdi
Thanks Mauro

That CDI is just like all the other cheap ones (big gun, procom, etc) and really doesn't offer anything for the warrior, except unreliability. All of these cheap ones are made by procom, and have a reputation for burning up all the time, and preventing your engine from starting if your battery is anything less than fully charged. That sales pitch they give about adding 1,000+ rpms is total BS for the warrior, it doesn't have a rev limiter to begin with. You're better off with a stock one.

Not if your motor is stock. Until you at least get an aftermarket cam and stiffer springs most of the curves the Dyna has are just too aggressive and you'll float the valves in a heartbeat.

Could be overloaded from too much current, maybe some water got in, maybe it shorted somewhere, could be alot of things.

Ebay will be the best bet, just make sure you get one for a 97-2001, any of the other years aren't going to work with the 2000.

My best bet would be that some moisture just got into the cdi. Especially with the cold weather, water can get into stuff like the cdi, and then when it freezes it expands and starts tearin stuff up.
