Hey i just got my jet kit installed. the problem is when i am just idling and gun it it will bog down but if i rev it higher then gun on it it doesn't do that what should i do? i cant mess with the air-fuel mixture screw either because the spot where i put the screw driver is all messed up and i cant even get a screw driver on it. o ya and I'm running a 146 main jet, my elevation is only like 100-200 feet above sea level, and i have a k&n on it with aftermarket exhaust. Thanks for all your help!

Whats your needle clip at? You check you spring on your Acccel. pump?

Try and take a screw driver and put it on the mixture screw and then take a mallet and they and beat in a new groove to the stripped out screw. Do this when the carb is OFF the bike and make sure its tightly resting on a soft piece of wood. It might of might not work but its worth a try and don't go hammering at full force....little taps should do it, that screw is brass and should reform pretty easily. Also, after you take the carb off and lay it on its side, spray some penetrating fluid on the screw and allow it to seep in for a while before you try and back it out again. Take it all the way out and buy a new on from bike bandit or your local dealer.

and ive tried to put a new groove into the screw and that didnt work i just made it worse. any other ideas anything will help?

Is the clip in the 4th groove from the top, or the 4th from the bottom? If it's the 4th one down from the top it's probably too rich, try moving it to the middle one.

Did you check to see if your accelerator pump is working? When you open the throttle quickly a small shot of fuel should spit down the throat of the carb out the engine side.

If the accelerator pump is working and changing the needle doesn't help, you're probably too lean on the fuel screw and there's nothing else to do except extract the damaged one and get a new one.

thanks for your help ive got the carb just rite i changed the carb from the 4th grove from the top to the 3rd grove from the top and it runnin good with my 146 main jet
