I just picked up a new warrior 350 bored .20 over and some wide back wheels, that's about it got mods. So anyway it was just rebuilt cleaned carb and everything like 10 minutes before I picked it up! So first my question is How easy should I ride it in this stage? And for how long?! How do I know if I am riding the new engine to hard? I cleared out most of the new engine smoke but it still smokes when hot!

Now here's a couple problems I had and fixed/need help fixing!

First the front brakes locked up cause the screw pressing against the hydraulic break button vibrated tight, I put a nut and washer on it and all good! ( I turned and the quad kept going straight haha)

Next I was riding it got hot and I turned it off! So it's off key off and everything and when I went to ride again there was absolutely no starting it! I had power (lights worked) but the electric ignition made no attempt to even turn over till I jumped it off my buddies quad... I checked with a volt meter and I have about 14 volts and 12 volts when headlights are both on! Any help would be awesome!

Next after riding hard for awhile I noticed it started to bog in low gears and if I caught it it would usually backfire, I figured I was running to rich but idk how to adjust that, I can use some help on that! But anyway I looked it up and found out about the rev limiter parking break thing, my break is removed so I unplugged that cord and it seemed to stop the bog in all gears but 3rd, it still bogs and sometimes backfires...

Then besides the race of the bearing getting stuck that's all my problems... If anyone can help it'd be nice!!

As far as breaking in the engine goes, there are many different techniques. Some prefer an easy break in period where nothing more than 1/2 to 3/4 throttle is used. Others prefer hard break in, with multiple heat cycles of hard riding. It's honestly personal preference and there is tons of information on the internet for that. The bog you are experiencing could be jetting, but you have to check your plug to be sure.

Pull my plug and check how black it is? Also did I bypass the parking break thing right? I unplugged the cord that connects to it by clutch completely

To bypass the parking brake you have to plug the male and female connectors together on the harness end. Pull the plug and see what color it is. White is lean, tan/brown is good, and black is rich. If the plug shows a rich or lean condition, you have to do three plug chops, one at idle, one at 1/2 throttle, and one at full throttle. This will tell you which carb circuit the quad is running lean/rich on. Then the adjustments can be made accordingly by changing jets, raising/lowering the needle, and adjusting the air mixture screw.

Ill check the plug and
Such 2marrow... I removed/bypassed the break
Now can I leave that cord plugged in or should I leave it unplugged? It just makes you hold the clutch to start in gear, so it's not needed?

And does anyone know about my starting problem...?
