Well Here is what happened and what I want to do, I rolled it when I first got it, messed the headlights a little, rolled it again and pretty well broke them. They do still work, but the back houseings are broke, and won't stay pointed where need be. So I want to replace them, I don't want to spend 80 bucks for stock parts, the front mesh is still good, but the rest on both is broke. I want to get different look, I wanted to get small fog lights and hook them up most I see are 50 and 55 watts. I am worried for the stock stator its too much to handle. I haven't been able to find any low wattage fog lights anywhere, I would like to get them at walmart, auto stores or somewere like that. And than comes to getting them wired in, Do I use the stock stuff would like to keep the switch, and would like to do this painless as I can.

Now the brake light was just fine till we had to use my warrior to get our atv trailer out of dads yard since it had rained, well got it out, when we got back was still wet and muddy so used it to put back in, now this wasn't a easy task, no hitch, trailer is heavy, we had the safety chains around the back bar and getting it backed in it popped up and busted the lens. So I just took the whole thing off. I have been looking at putting a different style on since the old one looks ugly. I found some trailer lights, rectangle ones at lowes think they are led, now would those work? I am sure but getting them wired in seems like a chore. ANy ideas has any body done this?

If anything needs to be got I want to walk into a box store buy what I need and walk out and start work. And need to do this cheap as I can. If I can find the stock light setup parts I need then I can go back to that setup, but would like a brighter setup. I don't ride alot at night, mainly at little sahara and then it might be 15 min at a time then stop ride more then stop, why I thought the fog lights would work. Any help or ideas would be great, even thought about wireing the reverse lights to a switch when it reverse it the lights come on so I can to back up!

The stock stator can really only efficiently handle about 100 watts. Just a pair of standard 55 watt lights by themselves really will push the threshold but the stator usually can handle them as long as the battery is good and you aren't riding slow.

There are other options..Buy some housing off ebay and get some upgraded blubs from RM Stator. they are brighter then stock.

As for LED lights check out the VisionX (I think)
Do a search for Xmitter lights. that'll get ya in the right place.. lol
many different styles, sizes etc

Do they even make fog lights that lower than 55w? I thought I have seen some somewhere at one time but don't remember where. I am looking on ebay now, but good god, they want 50 bucks or more for whole thing oval ring lights and all.

That visionX lights are way out of price range. Nice lights though, but for what they cost I can get the stock parts and fix the factory lights and stay with those. I am after a different look for under what it cost to fix the stock lights. If not than I will just need to fix the stock parts and keep it as is.

they are pricez...Walmart sells some frame mount lights that look like the MR16 style for about 20 or 30 bucks that are 50/55 watt. I was in your same situation before...I opt for the stock look with the RM Stator bulbs...
good luck

Well I figured out too, I could get some lights, then find replacement bulbs that are 30-40 watts at autozone, and put those bulbs in, and keep the 55w for back ups.

Well I have something figured it out, and think its going to work out and look cool when I am done.

I have some parts and way to fix my brake light and make it look cooler and make it brighter, I found this at harbor freight http://www.harborfreight.com/4-inch-submersible-led-stop-turn-trailer-tail-light-93263.html and this to get it mounted http://www.harborfreight.com/tail-light-bracket-66527.html what I plan to do to keep it from being busted and get a piece if angle iron and mount under it so nothing can hit it like I did with the trailer. What do you think?

I have also though and figure out a way to get a revers light wire in as well, so at night when I reverse my light will light up and can see when I need to back up in the dark. Now I just need to find a light that will work. To wire it in I would use the wire that ruins the red reverse light in the console or I would need to figure out a way to wire in a switch on the reverse linkages.

My headlights I have thought of getting some 50 or 55 watt fog lights, and wire in one for low bream and both for high beam if I needed both if its pitch black dark. Is this possible? Or if I can find the right bulbs to replace the 55 watts for 30-40 watt bulbs that would fit the light casing.

Any thoughts on this is there better options?

You can always get a set of fog lights and put a 35 watt HID kit in them. Then you won`t have to worry about the stator and they`ll be a lot brighter. If you go that way make sure you get the slim ballasts the big ones sucked to mount. I got 2 6 inch KC daylighters converted to HID.

Slim ballast? What I had in mind are those small oval or round or the rectangled ones think would look better.
