so I have chance to trade my 98 Ski Doo MXZ 500 snowmobile for this
a 01 Bombardier DS 650 quad

Now I don't know much on em except they are a heavy 495 lbs dry
Have a 50" wide wheel base
have no reverse
but are fast as HELL
and the only real issue I could dig up was the stock cooling rad fan tends to quit working.
as for anything else I'm not sure that's why I turned to my fellow YFM'ers

if you forgot what my sled looked like here's a pic

let the opinions and FACTs rip!!!

They run pretty good ed Id trade for sure! My friend still has his since new and it still runs strong motors are bullet proof.

I was looking for 1 b4 I stumbled on raptor they are powerful just need to strengthen some areas but great running quad and fast. Downfall weight and trying to push that heavy bitch backwards

I would make the trade... Then try to trade for a raptor 660 700 or warrior or of u can find a yfz that needs a little here little there

yeah I've heard the motors are bullet proof
and I've also read an artical from Dirtwheels when they tested it along with the rappy 660 and suzuki and kawi 400's
and they pretty much said unless your a 200+ pound rider your pretty much just along for the ride because of the mere size and weight it makes it difficult for a lighter rider to get it to do what he or she wants
and being 50" wide and horrible turning radius makes it a no go on woods or tighter trails
they said it will keep with or plain out run just about anything out there in the dunes but get it in the winding woods trails or on the mx track and it gets thumbs down over everything it's the no reverse that just kills it for me but is that enough to outweigh the good
and also consider winter will be over in 2 months or less so the sled will be sitting stored from April till December-January
I just wish I could find someone with a yfz450 or rappy 660 -700 to trade the sled for or even a 4x4 quad would be even better

I would trade because winter is almost over, and then sell or trade the DS. Unless, like you said, trade the sled for a Raptor or YFZ. Me personally, I'd trade for a KFX450R because it has great ergos and has reverse.

Titles didn't start till about 8 years ago here in WI so all we need is the registration card or just a bill of sale
