neutral switch

just wondering what a neutral switch was on 1988 yamaha warrior 350 and how it bolts to atv causemine is completely gone

okay so mine dont have a perch it just has the clutch with clutch wire going to clutch thats it

The neutral switch is on the motor below the drive sprocket.

Actually right in front of the shift shaft on the lower left side case

Should be a baby blue wire plugged to it

okay got another question, what would cause on solenoid, i dont have oem i have one that has to prongs to wire in. when i have it hooked up both prongs are grounded instead of one being hot?

okay i found the reverse switch and neutral switch!! my reverse light is all the time and it will turn over but want fire! there is no wire running to either switch and i have bypassed the neutral switch from perch wired the wire together on harness! what conects to these switches? i think it thinks its in reverse and want fire! but i dont know how to deal with reverse/neutral switches plz help!!!!
